AUTOMOTIVE ACCOUNTING SPECIALISTS

Jonathan D. Forgy    E-Mail: jforgy@parke-guptill.com

Jonathan D. Forgy has 20 years of experience in public and private accounting.  He has worked with issues involving individual tax and estate planning, corporate taxation, accounting-finance, and mergers.

 

Education

Mr. Forgy received a Bachelor of Science degree in both Accounting and Finance from Cal Poly Pomona in 1978, Master of Science degree in taxation in 1985, and CFP® certification in 2004.   

 

Experience

Jonathan started his career with Dean Witter Reynolds as a registered representative and first obtained his securities and insurance licenses in 1980.  He took his interest in tax law and joined a CPA firm in 1983 where he was a tax partner until 1993.  In 1993, Mr. Forgy accepted finance positions with what became an affiliated group of private (Parke Industries) and public companies under the parent company, Carolina Power and Light.  During the next seven years, Mr. Forgy served as CFO and Director of Finance of the affiliated companies.  In 2001, Mr. Forgy returned to public accounting, joining Parke, Guptill & Company, LLP to continue his business and tax consulting career.   In 2004, Mr. Forgy attained the Certified Financial Planner™ certification.  

 

Professional Organizations

Mr. Forgy is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the California Society of CPAs.

 

Mr. Forgy is a registered representative of Park Avenue Securities and is a member of Parke Guptill Financial Services, LLC (PGFS).  In these capacities, Jonathan is available to assist clients with their financial planning and estate planning needs.

 

Community Involvement

Mr. Forgy resides in Glendora with his wife Weijia (who is also a CPA) and their three children. The kids stay busy with school work, piano lessons and golf.  Weijia is always busy and Jonathan sneaks in a little golf and tennis.
